SirCam worm spreading rapidly
Discovered on July 17, 2001, the SirCam worm is spreading rapidly with some users reportedly receiving dozens of copies a day. Its infection routine can not only compromise confidential material on your system, improper removal can cause an inability to launch any .EXE (including program files) on your system. The worm has a malicious payload (action) on the infected system. In one out of twenty cases, on October 16th it will delete the contents of the local drive on which Windows is installed. In one out of fifty cases, on any day of the year, the SirCam virus will create a file in the hidden \Recycled\ folder named sircam.sys and repeatedly append test strings in that file until the hard drive space is filled to capacity.Naked Wife virus spreading
Virus control companies are warning of a medium to high-risk PC-disabling virus disguised as an e-mail attachment labeled "NakedWife.exe." The e-mail itself is titled, "My wife never look like that!" Once opened, the virus mails itself to addresses in the Microsoft Corp. Outlook address book and erases critical operating system files.

Your desktop's quirky start-up behavior could be a symptom of viral infection.
PROBLEM - Booting your PC, a window, apparently left over from a previous Internet session, appears with the line C:\Windows\Start Up\Program Files\Startup\Kak.Hta at the top. Despite trying many things to delete the window, it keeps coming back.SOLUTION Your system is infected with the KakWorm virus, which takes advantage of the signature feature in Outlook Express (English or French version) to attach itself to all messages sent from the infected machine. Merely reading such a message can infect the recipient's machine.
It is reported that the KakWorm virus has been spread through mass-marketing e-mails. Moreover, KakWorm is listed as a "top threat." You need to get rid of the virus and update your system to close the security leak this intruder exploits.
